Fernàndez-Guerra

Assistant Professor · University of Copenhagen

I study microbial communities across time, combining environmental genomics and computational biology to understand their diversity, functions and evolutionary history.

Research

My work spans modern and ancient microbial communities, with a focus on metagenomics, microbial ecology and the development of computational methods. At the Globe Institute, I lead the Microbial EcoGenomics Group and contribute to the Ancient Environmental Genomics Initiative for Sustainability (AEGIS).
